Middle Earth is a world that the author based on Europe as he supposed it was approximately 6, 000 years ago. The world is inhabited by many different races including elves, orcs, ents, dwarves and humans. The most famous books from this world is the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings, other works include The Silmarillion and The Hobbit.
The major conflict of Middle Earth is the battle between Sauron, his minions of Orcs and Trolls and the more peaceful inhabitants of middle earth the humans, elves and dwarves.
